Camp Agawam Service Day

Join us Saturday, April 29th at Camp Agawam for a day of service and fellowship. Work starts at 8AM here at Agawam. Troop 746 has volunteered to cook lunch for everybody who comes to work on camp as a thank you. It takes a lot of work to keep Camp Agawam looking its best year round and there is a lot of work to get it ready for your scouts this summer. Packs and Troops who wish to camp out over the weekend may do so. Contact Caretaker Bob at Camp Agawam to reserve your location at 724-996-0819.  Let us know you are coming by registering so we have plenty of lunch for you. Meet us at 8am in front of the Maintenance Shop.

Projects include
Roofing Work
Treating the New Dock Surface
Staining Picnic Tables
Repair Picnic Tables
Pool Cover Removal and Deck Cleaning
Trail Clearing
Cleaning Leaves out of Lake Agawam (bring waders)
Flower Bed Mulching and Flower Planting

Items to bring
Work Gloves
Gardening Tools
Carpentry Tools

How to help out if you cant attend April 29
There are many ways you can help out our camp if you cant attend service day.  One of the ways is the large flower bed in our parking lot is in need of colorful flowers. When out shopping for your flower beds at home this spring, consider picking up an extra flower or two to donate to camp to help make camp more beautiful. You can drop them off at camp or contact Bob Seman to make arrangements to drop them off at the Council Service Center
